I’ve loved cars for as long as I can remember. The sound of a V8 engine (or even better, the roar of a V12!) will make me stop and look, whatever I’m doing. This petrolhead passion is what got me into the motor industry almost 20 years ago – first, working in car insurance then buying and selling cars privately, and finally, into the motor trade as a Salesman then Sales Manager for several major car manufacturers.
I’m Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) accredited and have spent the past 6 years working for Land Rover, one of the most desirable, luxurious and prestigious brands in the world, delivering the exceptional levels of customer service that made us ‘Sales Dealer of the Year’.
The value you deserve
One of the most enjoyable parts of the job was looking at the wide range of vehicles people were looking to part-exchange and assessing their value, always with a view to providing the best possible trade-in price to the customer. I would personally inspect every vehicle, detailing all the extras that had been carefully selected when the car was purchased, professionally appraising the vehicle inside and out.
Achieving the best price for the customer was paramount to me as it meant they would have more budget for their new vehicle and would feel like they’d been treated fairly and received a good deal. This process enabled me to build a carefully selected network of trade buyers spanning the whole of the UK that I trust and who trust me. This is the vast community of top-tier used car buyers I’m now able to leverage to my sellers’ advantage for Car Connector.
Why I created Car Connector
I know from experience that the final sale price achieved for the seller can be hundreds and sometimes thousands of pounds more when the vehicle has been thoroughly appraised and accurately described. This made me think, I could help more than just the modest number of customers I came into contact with at Land Rover. And thus, Car Connector was born!
I believe I can help most people looking for a quick, hassle-free sale to achieve their vehicle’s true value. If you’ve looked after it, had it serviced regularly and maybe even added a few nice factory options, you deserve the best price, right?
